These images are from Sonoita, Arizona and connect me with my southern Arizona upbringing. All of the images were taken over three hours on Labor Day afternoon 2011 at the Santa Cruz County Fair. On this day it was dusty and storming, hot and dream-like. I attempted to shoot images that captured this atmosphere but also as a celebration of Arizona's rodeo culture.
