I do my taxes every year. I am not a burden.rdquo;/strongbr/ br/My first hopes when I arrived were to progress because in Mexico there is work, but not all year, it is temporary.br/ br/I arrived with my brother when I was 16. I began to work and my brother said I should study... and I said yes... but immediately I began to work and just wasn't able to study. My first job was at a (Mexican restaurant).br/ br/It has been very nice to live here. Many times, people say that we come to take but it is the opposite, I contribute like a citizen to this state. I do my taxes every year. I work every day and every year I report what I make. I donrsquo;t think I am a burden to the state, but the opposite, I do the same as everyone else. I am not a burden. Many times they say that one comes here only to receive help, but itrsquo;s not like that. I have liked it in Arizona. Irsquo;ve liked it, I havenrsquo;t gotten treated badly. My experience has been good with white people and Navajos.br/ br/XXXXrsquo;s Wife:br/(Getting here) is very difficult because you go through the cold, hunger, thirst, and many mistreatments by the people that are helping you across. They treat you as if you werenrsquo;t a person. When we came there were 30 of us walking and we started to walk at about 6 in the evening. The sun didnrsquo;t go down yet, and we didnrsquo;t have a house so we all waited until it got dark. They pushed us towards the mountains to walk. We walked until 8 in the morning the next day without stopping. It is a lot, you find yourself falling asleep on the walk. It is horrible.br/ br/We started (in the church) 6 years ago. When you arrive here there is much that instills your faith, your religion. In the end you are growing (from all of the experiences) and that helps you to get ahead, to be a good human being in society. To help and to give to others is something that we like doing. Since childhood our parents instilled that in us.br/ br/There is a small group of us that provides help to the father in the church. XXXXX is a minister of eucharist, I am a lecturer, I am a community coordinator. We are preparing to preside over marriage certification, for a service for couples who want to get married, a service in Spanish.br/br/ ********************************************br/ br/XXXXXXX vino de Durango, Meacute;xico a los Estados Unidos en 1996. He estado a gusto en Arizona.
