XXXX came from Guadalajara, Mexico to Flagstaff over 20 years ago. XXXX works construction and is a husband and father of two kids. He plays his guitar and sings in the church choir.br/ br/ strongldquo; They (non-immigrants) say, lsquo; This immigrant is like the seed of the tomato, he is not useful for anything. What are we going to do with this (worthless) tomato seed?rsquo; I hope that they learn to view us in another way- that this seed could be a plant and this plant can produce.rdquo;/strongbr/ br/ We all come because we want a better future for our children, for our family. We come looking for this better future and we donrsquo;t come to take anything. We come to work for what we have and that is it. My hope is that others learn to view us like that and see that we are all equal.br/ br/ I feel like at times the (non-immigrant) community just tolerates us and does not accept us. An exception is when they see me as you are seeing me now. Then we can talk, but when they do nothing but tolerate us, we get nowhere.br/ br/ They (non-immigrants) say, lsquo; This immigrant is like the seed of the tomato, he does not serve for anything. What are we going to do with this (worthless) tomato seed?rsquo; I hope that they learn to view us in another way, that this seed could be a plant and this plant can produce. And that there are good people and bad people in whatever ethnic group, race, religion. Whatever group it doesnrsquo;t matter. There is much kindness as well, there are many people that do good. Hopefully, at the least, they donrsquo;t think that we are something that we are not, and that is all.br/ br/ ********************************************br/ br/ XXXX vino de Guadalajara, Meacute;xico a Flagstaff hace maacute;s de 20 antilde;os.
